西式午餐
昨晚太太说我好久没做西餐了，答应她今天给她给她弄。上完瑜伽课后，我俩就开始分工做午饭。
首先，预热烤箱。把马铃薯表皮洗净，然后放入锅里煮熟。
洗净苜蓿芽(Alfalfa)，把番茄对半切开，加上烤好的黄豆碎和黑芝麻，淋上自制的沙拉酱，前菜苜蓿芽番茄沙拉准备上桌。
南瓜撒上一些罗勒(Basil)粉，放入预热好了的烤箱约廿分钟，烤罗勒南瓜轻松完成。
在同一时间，马铃薯也煮熟了。太太把它们弄烂，加上牛油和香料拌搅。第三道菜，马铃薯泥登场。
我也同时把早上腌好的黑椒羊扒从冰箱里取出，用中火把它们煎至七分熟，煎黑椒羊扒大功告成。

Newton 12公里挑战赛
今早参加了 Newton 12公里挑战赛，这是我继 Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon 后的另一个四分一马拉松赛。这一次一同参赛的友人有国华（代替国强），瑞贤，小昭，Adrian 及 Pei Li （国华的堂妹）。
早上七时准时开跑，在两公里处就被瑞贤超越。这次的路线不易跑，蛮多斜坡，介于海拔20米至一百一十米左右，并且还很晒，跑起来挺耗力气。我用了大约79分钟跑完12.66公里，平均配速（pace)为时速9.62公里，比起SCKLM的平均配速（pace)，时速9.43公里来的稍微快一点，小有进步。抵达终点时看见瑞贤经已抵达，她比我快四分钟完成，挺佩服她的速度。国华用了大约98分钟完成赛事，以他的年龄和第一次参赛的表现，是值得嘉许的。
注：可惜这回岫玲没参赛。

全民挺明福，坚决反酷刑！

我们，一群关心赵明福冤死疑案的大马公民，对于验尸庭迟迟不能找出明福猝死的真相，反贪委员会律师多番阻扰泰国法医普缇来马作证，感到极度不满。
我们听到明福妹妹丽兰的呼唤，有感人民须给赵家更多的支持，于是决定发起“全民挺明福”运动（Malaysians for Beng Hock），以让明福家属继续保有追求真相的勇气。
我们相信，在一个民主社会里，人人心中都有社会公义的火苗。只有不断勇于站出来平反冤假错案，为体制的被压迫者赎回公道，社会良心才得以保全，集体 正义才得以伸张。我们呼吁全国社团与公民抱着“一日不平反，人人是明福”的信念，参与我们的运动，力挺明福，直到真相大白，酷刑永被废除。
明福的冤死，是我国面临社会转型期间，丑陋夺权行动中的悲剧牺牲品。我们要求政府即刻找出真凶，将凶手绳之以法，平反明福的冤案。长久而言，政府应改革法律与执法机关，实现一个没有酷刑的社会，让人人有免于恐惧的自由。

Malaysians for Beng Hock, Rakyat against Torture!
Press Statement, 9 August 2010
We, a group of Malaysian citizens whose hearts have been shattered and minds have been disturbed by the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock, are incensed at the ineffectiveness of the coroner’s inquest in uncovering the truth behind his death as well as the stubbornness of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) lawyers in repeatedly trying to prevent renowned forensic pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand from testifying in the inquest.
We have thus decided to heed the call from the late Beng Hock’s sister Teoh Lee Lan for Malaysians to provide more support for their family, by initiating the “Malaysians for Beng Hock” campaign. We want to share our strength and spirit together with the Teoh family in their relentless and courageous pursuit of justice.
We believe that in a democratic society, everyone has a penchant for social justice. Only by standing up courageously and persistently against injustice for all who are suppressed by the establishment, by writing the wrongs, can the conscience of the society be preserved and collective justice be upheld. We call on all organizations and individual citizens of this nation to join the campaign and support Beng Hock’s family until the truth is revealed and torture is eradicated.
Beng Hock had become the sacrificial lamb of a distasteful power struggle fuelled by greed, hatred, and the thirst for revenge as the nation is experiencing democratic transition. We urge the Government to bring the real perpetrator to justice and bring peace to Beng Hock’s family. In the long run, the government must reform its laws and law enforcement agency to realize a torture-free society, in which everyone enjoys freedom from fear.
